Bruges Market Square
Located in the heart of the city, the market square in the old days was used as a marketplace since 958.
Nowadays it’s ringed with banks and restaurants.
The market square is a place where the locals and about three to four million visitors like to hang out.
The Belfry tower is without any doubt the eye catcher here but there are lots of buildings around
that provide a glance of Bruges’ glorious past.
The picture is the Provincial Palace. Built around 1900 in neo gothic style.

Quay of the Rosary (Rozenhoedkaai)
Amazing place, romantic, magical and enchanting.
This world famous city-view of the Belfry and the canals, is Bruges most photographed spot.
Located close to Tanners Square and the Fish Market.
They say that this quay was a mooring place for ships back in the middle ages and that salt traders would come here to (un)load their merchandise.
In the middles ages salt was expensive as gold.

Bonifacius Bridge
One of Bruges’ most beautiful spots.
The little bridge looks old enough to date from the middle ages. However, appearances are indeed deceptive.
Built in 1910, this bridge is a perfect example of Romantic architecture and the result of the town council’s plan
to create a link to the other side of the canal.
Though not authentic, this bridge is undeniably a sight for sore eyes.
